Grace Food UK 2023 Conference
Celebrating Success and Gearing Up for More
Here at Funnybones, we kicked off 2023 by rounding up the whole gang for our annual Grace Food UK Conference! Colleagues from across the UK congregated at Tewinbury Farm for a jam-packed day. We ate, we drank, we celebrated our success, and we geared up for a whole lot more in the coming year!
Our team here at Funnybones sure better be ready to expand their trophy cabinets, ‘cos awards were being handed out left, right, and centre! Chris Robb bagged the Super Sales Performer award, having increased revenue by over 5% and improved year on year gross profit by over 10%. Those are some pretty impressive numbers, right! But it was Jon Alderman who scooped the Sales Manager of the Year award, with the highest year on year and gross profit growth! Woohoo! And, our very own Development Chef, Tom Styman-Heighton, claimed the Creator Spotlight, thanks to his continuous creativity in the kitchen.
The managing director’s special award was presented by Grace MD Brian Mitchell and went to Gina Board, Customer Services Manager, for her exceptional dedication and performance. Dave Pauling and Adam Lowden from the Grace UK Transport Team each earnt a Star Award in Customer Service thanks to their customer-centric positivity. The Business Partner in Excellence award had two teams’ neck-and-neck. It was just too impossible to choose, so the Funnybones Customer Service Team were proud to be joint winners with Credit Control! And a huge congrats to Del Holt, DC manager for winning the Operational Excellence Award, and Adam Frank from DC Mid Shift for earning Rookie of the Year!
And that’s before we even get to talkin’ ‘bout our sister companies! Asim Mungal from Chadha Oriental won the Philanthropy Award and Imran Khaliq from Enco Independents received Team Builder of the Year.
Phew! We’ll have just about got our breath back in time to rattle off next years’ winners!
