Ever wondered where the name Funnybones comes from? Well, transport yourself back to the 1980s. In the heart of London, an American-style restaurant had just introduced baby back ribs to their menu. Exceedingly popular across the pond, the ribs soon proved to be loved in London too. Diners fondly called the baby back ribs ‘those funny little bones’. And that’s when the restaurant owners had their eureka moment; to help other restaurants cater and serve up delicious American and Mexican food. The rest, as they say, is history!
Fast-forward to over 40 years later, and Funnybones is now the UK’s leading provider of authentic American and Mexican food. Now a proud part of the Grace Kennedy Group, our parent company has been able to lend their 100 years of experience to help Funnybones grow even further.
